Land Stewardship Coordinator (LSC)

The 2026–27 service year runs September 8, 2026, to July 30, 2027.
Charles River Conservancy is interviewing candidates for a Land Stewardship Coordinator (LSC). The LSC will engage with the Stewardship and Volunteer Program Manager to manage volunteers on community service projects, educate or train individuals in environmental stewardship or environmentally conscious practices, and complete three capacity building projects.
Potential projects include:
- Support the Annual Charles River Earth Day Cleanup by helping recruit, coordinate, and manage the hundreds of volunteers participating in this large-scale community stewardship event organized in partnership with local park groups.
- Collaborate with state and community partners to expand and strengthen the Charles River Environmental Watch (CREW) program by training and supporting volunteers to independently conduct river stewardship activities such as trash cleanup, invasive species management, vegetation monitoring, and hazard reporting.
- Lead volunteer groups in performing park stewardship activities such as bench repair and painting, litter removal, invasive species management, and shrub and tree maintenance.
